STUDIO GROUP 3:1

Come and enjoy a specialised pilates workout designed for you. Pilates Lab classes currently teach a maximum of three to ensure attention to technique, and to ensure you get the results you want whilst being motivated to reach your goals. You will utilise a variety of equipment including Reformer, Tower, Wunda Chair, Ladder Barrel, Spine Corrector, and other small equipment (Roller, small hand weights, ankle weights, slider discs & Swiss ball).

PRIVATE STUDIO PILATES OR INITIAL CONSULTATION

This is a one on one specialised session designed specifically to achieve your personal goals. A great way to start your Pilates journey, it will allow us to assess your posture, strength, flexibility and discuss with you what your goals are and how we will achieve them. All new clients are required to complete one Private session/Initial Consultation before starting in group classes.

MATWORK CLASSES

These are small intimate matwork classes. They can improve your strength, flexibility, tone and create a lengthened and leaner physique whilst working up a sweat with a hit of cardio to invigorate and challenge the body. Classes are capped at 9 clients to ensure attention to technique. 

Note - Mat Classes do not require an Initial Consultation. However if you have a pre-exising injury or you are pregnant these classes are not for you. If you are postnatal be sure to have the all clear from your doctor before you book in and please let us know before you begin your class.

ONLINE ZOOM PILATES CLASSES

Pilates Lab offers Zoom classes to those clients that prefer to work out remotely. Classes will run for 30 mins or 45 mins depending on your preference. They are designed specifically for your needs to achieve results.

VAL ROBINSON

Val is the Owner of Pilates Lab. 
Diploma Qualified APMA Instructor &  fully accredited member of APMA Australian Pilates Method Association.

Val is extensively trained in the Pilates Method a contemporary practice of Pilates focused on the individual. A highly skilled instructor, Val spends lots of time tailoring each class to deliver the results for the individual. 

Val is experienced with all stages of life to improve everyday function, as well as enabling rehabilitation from injury or surgery, understanding pre and post natal recovery and a dedicated support to athletes. Whatever your goal Val will get you there, fast. 

Energetic, challenging and passionate are some of the words her clients use to describe her and per programs. 

Her contemporary approach combined with her warm, engaging nature make her outstanding amongst the health and wellness options available.

SOPH APPEL

APPI QUALIFIED MATWORK INSTRUCTOR

Soph is a recent graduate in Matwork Pilates instruction. She also holds a Bachelor of Health Science Degree. 

She began her love affair with Pilates as a client 5 years ago, and experienced immense physical and mental health improvements that she never looked back. 

Soph's calisthenics/dance background allows her to demonstrate high levels of body awareness, proprioception and flexibility which all aid in her ability to participate in and teach Pilates. 

Soph is a kind, empathetic and energetic individual who has a rare young talent and passion for health and wellbeing, and she is enthusiastic to share her knowledge with you all.

KRISTI LENTON

APPI QUALIFIED MATWORK &
BARRE BODY INSTRUCTOR

Kristi has been working in the Pilates industry since 2019, combining her background of classical dance training with Pilates. 

Having grown up a part of London's West End dance scene, pilates was essential to avoid injuries. But it wasn't until she moved to Australia in 2015 that it became her world. 

Kristi's classes are renowned for their balance of challenging skills and full body lengthening. Her nurturing personality and passion for mobility is reflected in her classes, which inspires clients and makes them feel supported at every stage of their development. 

 

HOW OFTEN SHOULD I BE DOING PILATES? 

Once a week to understand it

Twice a week to feel it 

Three times a week for transformation 

Attending Pilates even just once a week is proven to improve strength, flexibility & endurance. Ideally 2-3 sessions a week with a recovery day between classes would get you seeing results a lot faster.
